Different but the same Simplicity 3745

I really enjoyed this pattern so of course I had to make it twice. Uhhhhh not really this is Simplicity 3745and this was the first time I made it and let me tell you it fit so bad the zipper is funky and the bust is really flat and it just gave me so much trouble so I decided to make it again. I was listen to other people and just put it away. But true to my self I was like I made it so I am going to wear and I did! I love it! The black fabric was actually a bed sheet and the patterned fabric was from jo anns It didn't look as bad as I thought. The mistakes are there but they are just not as magnified.

(KISJ) Simplicity 2692

I have been working on several outfits and have promised my self not to start on another out fit until I have finished the ones I have in progress or the ones I have already cut pieces for. Let me think I have five different items that I need to finish. Two of them need I eye hooks and they would be done( I have worn them anyway. I couldn't wait had to test drive them) One needs a zipper( Zippers give me so much trouble, I will conqueror them !) The other two I just cut pieces for. Two Items are the Vogue high waisted skirt(V8425) , two of them are simplicity 2692, on with the one shoulder and the other with two and the last on is the McCall dress(M5425), I made in green. Well here are pics from Simplicity dress one( pattern 2692)
Ok this pattern was great but of course I always do something crazy to make it not work. I made the dress like two months ago I have not put the zipper in until now. So upon zipping it up the first time I notice that the side with out the shoulder was too low. I was ummmmmm I really have a wardrobe malfunction. But I am stubborn I made it so I am wearing it. So here is the solution. It worked just need a different color next time. Some might have thought it was weird. I don't really care I liked it and I had lots of fun in it. Next different color tank (brown or beige) I think it would match up better

Hey sis! Simplicity 2981

Here is a dress I made for my sister before she left Florida with her husband. They have started their adventure together in San Antonio, Texas. Have fun! Bring me something back. This Dress pattern is Simplicity 2981 and I love it. It looked great on her and of course I made her matching tote . I made it wider at the top and narrow at the bottom. It was tons of fun to make and now Godets are my best friend.

Making Simplicity 3503

Erica B oh how I have been inspired. I see that she has made an awesome maxi dress using simplicity 3503. She looks great. I love this pattern because I made my cousin wife a dress from this pattern for their romantic getaway. She like it I even made a clutch to go with it but I forgot to photograph that as they forgot to photograph the moment she wore it. I must admit I could have done better job it was on of my first time working with that material and sewing clothes. This was my second outfit the worked out ok since I been in town. It was finished in April. So I think I have been getting better as I keep making clothes. Well that's how it goes.

Simpilicity 3745

My very cool patchwork tote. ( I take it every were it's about time to wash it)
I love this dress it was very comfortable. I wore it two places. One to my grandparent's 50th anniversary and to my home girl's bridal shower. It's not a dress I would normally buy but I decided to try something different. I felt good about it.

Here are some more pics of my creations. I had the most difficult time with this dress but this is the one that came out the best. I made a matching tote. The tote is one of the best totes that I have made. I love the Alexander Henry designed fabric. I got it in Savannah from a awesome fabric store called fabrika. I am having trouble finding fabrics like this here so I might, besides at Jo Anns.

Sewing Therapy Results

This is one of my therapy session that went alright. Some days, it was a struggle and I was very frustrated( working with cotton interlock was very challenging) but we worked through it( I think I am going to start praying while I sew). We finished and this was the result.Wow that therapy session worked out great. I still think that it needs some work but I am still pretty happy with it. Also that purse was my first Amy Butler pattern and I think it came out pretty good too. I have another session coming up soon. Oh yeah let me tell you about this dress. The fabric I used was a cotton interlock I got from Jo ann Fabric and some poly stretch material I have had it for a while and the pattern was Simplicity pattern 4577.
I like this pattern it was fairly easy. This is actually my second time at the bodice, the first bodice didn't work out so well.(I'll post it so you can be the judge.) I think I'll get better and probably make this dress again in white. And the therapy continues. Thanks God for listening!
