YUMM YUMM Time !

Well, thanksgiving is over. Lots to be thankful for. God God , Good Family, Good company, and Good Food. So exciting! My sister and here husband came home and she looks great after 1 full year of marriage. Yea! My cousin proposed to his girlfriend. Yea! So anyway. After all that wonderfulness I decided to cook something on Saturday.( Go figure) Well I decided to make this recipe I got off of Martha Stewart website Bake Penne with Chicken and Sun-Dried tomatoes. Then I made some chocolate chip cookies from a recipe on the back of the nestle toll house bag.
Ok this is how it went.Ok I totally skips some steps here, but I think you can still follow. Ok I seasoned my Chicken and cooked, like the recipe said( this went pretty good the chicken taste good and I didn't over cook it yea for me)

Ok so I started boiling the pasta like the recipe said, but I for got to drain it before al dente( which I guess means done)
Ok so far so good. I get to the mixture. ( where everything is suppose to be combined:pasta, chicken, sundried tomatoes, oh yeah it's mushrooms in this dish) Now at this point is where things kinda started out bad. I thought I could use evaporated milk instead of whole milk( why not I use it in my mac and cheese) and then I added way more flour then the recipe ask for ( ummm almost a 1/2 cupp more. So you know there are lump at the bottom of that.
So I just went on. I added the Cheese, mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, chicken and pasta and mix it together and put it in the pan.
After I put in the pan I let it bake for like 20 min. I took it out and ate it like 20 min later and it was alright. I am not sure if I seasoned the mixture right or if i SHOULD have used whole milk. The batter was really thick instead of creamy it tasted a little bready. I guess that is where the extra 1/2 cup of flour showed up. All and all I kinda like it. But hey click here or at the link at the top if you would like to try it. Maybe your results will be better.

On to the cookies! These turned out way better and my mom helped ( mainly because she wanted to clean up after me :) ) The recipe was on the chocolate chip morsels bag. It was simple enough
Ummmmmmmmm after batter is Good. My mom talk me out of putting two full bags of chocolate chips in the batter. Mom- 1 Me-0 She won! I'll do it next time.hehehe

The Girlfriend Experience









There was an event I photographed a couple of Saturdays ago. It was called "The Girlfriend Experience" it was hosted by Girls and Pearls Event Planning. It was so awesome. It was small, but they had some pretty awesome vendors. Let me see ummmmmm There was a make up service called " Beauty after Dark". Can I tell you they hooked me up with some great make up tips and I tried them out on the following Sunday and I looked HOT! There was a Mary Kay vendor. There was a Lace Wig vendor " Lacefronts by Le She' " Body Magic representative and Totes n Toggles. Totes and Toggles had some awesome bags and jewelry. Well I had a great time and enjoy the pics from the event.

I was on Black girl with Long hair today and ran across this story about a black girl being turned away from a job interview because she had locks. So the story didn't get that much play but it was talk about on the radio too.Now I am a little sensitive to that, because I use to have locks. So check out the story and let me know what you think. Saturday Fair!


My sweetie decided that Saturday, Nov 14, was the day he would take me to the fair( I could have sworn he said Sunday, but it is all good) Since neither on of us get on any rides we just walked around. All I wanted was cotton candy, funnel cake, and a deep fried oreo. Can I say Deep Fried Oreos trump Funnel Cake anyday. Sure wish I didn't get that funnel cake. UMMMMMMM Good, but you Can't eat too many of them. Anyhow We did get on the Farris Weel, but that was about it. I had a good time ( well as good of a time you can have with getting on rides) So, so long fair, see you next year, God willing.The fair atmosphere Ummmm nice and cold,but smelled so... Fair

Weekly Wisdom

These kind of words are hard to hear when you are in the middle of growing, because it does hurt and you don't really want a reminder, but hey it's....

Weekly Wisdom

We want to be spiritually grown, but we don't like growing because growing hurts.

Growing can be painful. For example, some children have "growing pains" because of their rapid growth.This can also be true spiritually. Specifically, God may stretch you by putting uncomfortable circumstances in your life. Why? He uses the hard times to stretch your faith, your patience, and your love. This stretching is what causes growth:"For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all" (2 Corinthians 4:17).

In other words, God uses the difficult circumstances in your life to cause you to grow closer to Him. If you look back over your life, you'll probably notice that the times you grew the most spiritually were often the times that were the most difficult.

If, however, you fight against the hard circumstances in your life, then you will never fully grow up.
So, instead of fighting against life, take the advice of James 1:2-4: "Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."

Decide to press on and go through so that your faith may grow. Go through the hard times in life trusting God, and then you will grow to be "mature and complete, not lacking anything."

The weekly wisdom from Christ Notes really spoke to me today. It hit so close because I was looking for some answers and encouragement today and this is what I needed. Here it is:

Your outer life is your reputation with people, but your inner life is your reputation with God.

It can be easy to compromise one's inner life in hopes of maintaining a good outer life. While there is certainly nothing wrong with a good outer life, we can't allow our reputation with others to become more important than our reputation with God -- He desires to be the most important thing in every person's life.

King David knew the importance of putting God first in order to maintain a good inner life. In Psalm 27:4, he wrote, One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life. David made God -- and spending time in God's presence -- the one thing he wanted. For David, his inner life was more important than his outer life.

1 Peter 3:4 says that your beauty should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight.

While it is by no means wrong to have a good outer life and to look good outwardly, God values inner beauty much more. That's because your outer life is your reputation with people, but your inner life is your reputation with God.


Stability is the mark of a mature Christian.

God has given us peace so that we can be stable even in the midst of hard times. In John 14:27, Jesus says, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives."

In this verse, Jesus tells us that He has left us his peace. Jesus' peace, however, isn't like the world's peace, which depends on your circumstances; rather, God's peace is internal. God's peace allows believers to be stable even in the midst of hard circumstances, difficult trials, and uncertain times.

It's no wonder Paul said that he could be content, i.e. stable, in all circumstances: "I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want." (Philippians 4:11-12). What was Paul's "secret"? "I can do everything through him who gives me strength" (Philippians 4:13).

The key to contentment and stability is living in, through, and with God in everything. Like Paul, a mature Christian is able to remain content and stable in all circumstances.

Ok this is totally random I was on Crafters.org's website and notice that a women made a She-Ra Costume for Holloween. Now for those who don't know she is from a 1980's cartoon I use to watch as a kid. So I just wanted to show the image and her costume. The Fair is Here!!! The Fair is here!! It opens here in Tallahassee on the 5th of Novemeber and it ends the 15th of November. I am excited this year I have not been to the fair since ummmmmmm...well I don't remember. I am wanting to go with my Sweetie and my friends I think it would be great. Good Food, Good Company, and a Good Time. Sweet November2009!

Ok Ok Ok! Doesn't seem like October just flew by. I barley had any time to make a post. Well So long October 2009 you seem to have been a little better to me then September 09. Well full speed ahead to the most awesome month of all DECEMBER! That is the month I start new age of women hood. Yea! Welcome November! *kiss*
