Jenelle Jeweley!!!

So it seems to me all the cool stuff happens on Pay Day, ( Well not always but this payday was cool) My home girl introduce me to this fabulous local jewelery designer named Jenelle and I was smitten upon first gaze of the jewelery she made. When we step foot on the set....wait let me explain.... Every Friday on Campus there is this area called "The Set" and they have like all different vendors there sell all types of cool stuff, clothes, food, cd's, jewelery and etc. Now when I was in Undergad it was really thick full of vendors, but over the past few years it has dwindled. Anyway I found these awesome pieces and I am addicted sooooooo payday she will be getting a visit. She is super talented and I can not believe we have some really awesome LOCAL jewelery designers here and they are affordable. Yey!

So everyone that knows me know I do not absolutely do not wear rings but this one was so awesome I had to get it. Yes I rocked this all weekend also, I might have to start wearing rings now I think I am in love.

GRADUATION CUPCAKES!!!!

Sooooo my homie at her bakery, Bite of your Life, has made some School spirit cupcakes for graduation. We have 2 universities and a really outstanding community college right her in Tallahassee.  Yes I do bleed orange and green, but still give love to the other schools. Congratulations Graduates....WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD, But enjoy some cupcakes on the way.

Soooooooooo My little homie that I take to first friday's here in Tallahassee has decide to get her hustle on and start selling her made from scratch baked goods. I bought some the other day....Can I say delish!!

So these are chocolate cupcakes with marshmellow fondant ( She made herself) with buttercream icing( She made an colored herself.)

So these are Jem cupcakes for me, I kinda forgot to tell her I was giving some of them to another girl for her birthday, by the way the girl loved them and her mother.

BITE OF YOUR LIFE

So my homegirl had her GRAND OPENING of her CAKE Shop. Yea and Yummy at the same time. I love her cup cakes and cakes. The Girl's Got skills. Bite of Your Life is a wonderful shop and Liz and suga mama are going places.... Ahhhhhhhhh I can't wait for more great things from them.

Sooo one of my homies has had her handbags featured on TV( yea) I am so proud of her. Her bags are in a boutique in Dallas, TX ( sorry local Tallahasseeans, but she makes custom items so hit her up) The Boutique is called Onli1 and My homie has a blog check her out. Let's get into some Art!!!

For the last day of April 2010 I have decided to post some links of some wonderful artist that I have found and/or love to talk about, of course mostly photography but a few other tight artist check them out.

These photographers are married and I was completely blown away by there creativity and compositions. I found them through Ms. Tasha Prescott who I talk about later on. I love there work. This wonderful artist makes some of the jewelry I wear. I found her on Black girl with long hair( I would link this but I am having trouble get to their site on my mac I am not sure what's up I can get to it at home.) I loved here jewelry so much I just contacted her and the rest is art history. She does other types of Art also she is a wonderful painter. She is a great person and artist. As I was on the hunt looking for information on Liberia I found this fashion designer from Liberia Africa. I really like how she is puts her style together. I don't know a lot about her and have never met her or came in contact with her, but really enjoy looking at her work. House of Leevean
This photographer is the boyfriend of Ms. Rachel Stewart and an all out excellent photographer. I have not met him, but I visit his website and blog for inspiration. My friend want to me to photographer and sent me this picture of what she wanted and lo an behold it was an image form creative silence. Crazy Right!!! I was like I know exactly who that is. Last but surly not least. This is an awesome photographer. Here name Is Tasha Prescott. I found her from a FLY GIRL BLOG and then as God would have it I saw a photograph of her on Creative Silence's Facebook page and was like she look familiar and nearly freaked out because I had just went to her blog maybe only days before. She is awesome and has a book coming out called Essence of a Women, It's going to be images of all these different women and they are wonderful images she post some of them on here site and on her facebook page. Crystal on the Radio

My Friend Crystal Mitchell was just on a radio show online and it was great. Women empowerment and inspiration. I think I am going to listen to this radio show more often. It's Called Warrior Women Wine and wisdom. Crystal is writing a book and is a very talented graphic artist. I can not wait for the book to come out. Well check out the interview here. Alright I just heard of this artist yesterday and I am in love. She is awesome. I love her hair. She has a great voice and she can move and dance like no body's business. Chris Jackson, The author

I am highly impressed with my adopted little brother Christopher Jackson. I was a sophmore when he arrived at FAMU. I remeber that he loved to write. Now I see he has published a book of his poems. Very exciting! I am so proud of you Chris! I remember reading some of his work when we were in school and thinking how talented he is. Hope he is doing well. I will have to purchase this book when the funds come around on Friday. Check it out here.

Well I was on Black girl/Long Hair and notice this Ad on the side with this really beautiful women with these really beautiful earrings. So like the researcher I am I click on it and when to her blog and then discovered that she designs earrings. I love her blog and all the new assories that she makes. I love art and buying from artist. You have to support other artist exspecially when they are awesome at what they do. So anyway I brought some. I love them. Even though her major is not art she is still exercising here skills. Her name is Michelae Adams and I hope to see more of her work in years to come.

Talented Young Artist

4th of July was very relaxing. I didn't do really do anything. My mom made jerked pork and Fried Fish. Later on in the evening I went over to visit my boyfriends family. It' was his dad's birthday. I always have a good time when I am over there. They had plenty of fish and Ribs. One of the great things of the evening were these wonderful cards his niece and nephew made. I was blown away. They had texture and the use of the fabric was marvolous. Also the inside of the card didn't lack any design either. These kids are wonderful Artist.

Crafts Dreams

I love craftsters.org. Its a place where you can see people that enjoy what every craft they like and they post there creations. A good place to for inspiration and encouragement. I was blown away by this craftster she reconstructed so many shirts and pants, and did a great job. Now I want all those clothes that I can't wear and don't wear to become something new.( They are in a big box waiting for me to transform them) Check her out and give her feed back she is awesome.
