Father's Day and Henna

This was mixed up on Saturday!

Ok so I thought I would try the Henna. I use to dye clothes with it so why not try it on my hair.

I but some coca powder to get close to a brown color. Well you can't really tell that i used the henna except for the fact that my two grey strands are kinda copper colored. It wasn't as messy as I thought as far as washing it out. Well I will try it again and see what happens. Maybe I will use a fresh batch next time.

So my mom and I took my Dad out for Father's day. He really wanted to go to Outback Steak House. hahahhahah so me and my mom took him to Outback.

Hair Time

Ummmm where do I begin ummmmmm. I guess I will start with my hair. So my hair is growing back more rapidly then I expected. Go Figure! No No this is a good thing. I have been asked by many if I am going to cut my hair off again and I usually answer if I feel like it. So a couple of reasons I have not cut my hair again:

1. I am just lazy. I really don't feel like going to the barber to get my hair cut every two weeks. Marlon is cool it's just I get bored with it.
2. People will stop grabbing my head, it's weird when I was bold ( well kinda bald) people could not refrain from grabbing or messaging or squeezing my head. Yes it was that creepy. The main reason " You have the perfect head for it. I have to touch it" I shake my head and say no but no means nothing to these people. Since I have let it grow out I have not had this problem anymore.
3. I want some COLOR. you can color a bald head but to me it would be pointless.
4. I like that i could twist my hair. I get bored with wearing my afro and when i had no hair but I could wear twist for a year if I could and not get tired of it.

Well now I am bored with this afro, I have waited patiently for growth so I can twist them again. I have been wearing these head covers lately so now it's time for the hair styles whoohooo.

Ahhhhhhhh so Today marks 5weeks since I cut my hair off and the growth is crazy. In two more weeks I think I am going to have to stop brushing it. I am deciding weather I am going to cut it again. HA we'll see. Check out the progress

Natural Hair Solution

So after the tragedy. On Sunday I decided to do something about it and yesterday the deed was executed. Enjoy!!!

Natural Hair Tragedy

Tragedy has struck in the natural hair journey...I have to shake my head. After the removal of the yarn braids i have accumulated massive amounts of breakage. I have two spots ( very noticeable too) in the back of my head. I would post a picture but it will just upset me... sigh I will keep you updated on this detour.

Yes I totally missed this spot.

So it's been ummmmm 5 weeks since I had my hair done by my wonderful cousin, and i have like all this new growth, I am trying to make this last until March. I hope I can do it. Well I have been using black onyx hair growth oil, I love it, I wonder if that is what is causing this crazy hair growth. Ummmmmmm. Well here is how I have been trying to style my hair.

I was on one of my favorite blogs Naturally Beautiful Hair, and they had a story on there about a little girl who was teased about her natural hair and her mom who had permed hair decided to cut off her perm to show her that she can be beautiful with out straight hair and not to worry about being teased about her natural hair. Oh how I love two strand twist!

So the hair Journey continues, I just got tired of it the other week and just decided to take the time and hook my self up with ( my favorite) two strand twist. It was funny though because it took me three days ( I got tired when I got to the back) to do it and no one really notice that I had half Bantu knots and half twist, hahahah or they really didn't care. Well for the winter I want Yarn braids or genie locs so ummm this should be good I will keep you up dated on how it goes.

So I just realized I didn't post my gala hair photos. Well I wasn't really happy with the second time I did them and that day was such a rush I though I look crazy, but none the less here they go... I did have fun though I shot over 1000 images whew! (Thanks Black Onyx) Pastor really enjoyed himself and was very appreciative. It's good to see people show there appreciation for the man of God in this might way.
