Yes, Jenelle Monae is Awesome and I got to see how awesome she was in concert . Florida State University held a free concert the Saturday before the students started classes. She was awesome I love it. Ahhhhhh what a way to celebrate the fall semester

Inspiration Morning

So two thing. Well three things.... one Football season is here so I have been super busy with 4Quartersonline.com. I haven't been updating as much but mainly because of time and nothing is really going on to blog about in Janine World right now, but not things are changing so I will try to be consistent with the updates.
Two... this morning I had some great insight on way men and women communicate and it really open my eyes to see how I might be responding to people and a little bit of understanding about the male's brain( It is a mystery hahahah) Click here to watch It really inspired me to do better with trying to effectivly communicate with males and females.


Lastly ( Third).... I was reading in Proverbs this morning and was convicted and taught somethings. Somethings keep you in check these proverbs did that this morning.
Proverbs 27 :1-7

1Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.
2 Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips.
3 A stone is heavy, and the sand weighty; but a fool's wrath is heavier than them both.  
4 Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who is able to stand before envy?
5 Open rebuke is better than secret love.  
6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.
7 The full soul loatheth an honeycomb; but to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet.


What I got:
1. Don't talk about what you are going to do tomorrow because you don't know how the day is going to go, you can plan for the next day but don't keep talking about what you will do.

2 Janine Shut up about what you are doing. If you are doing it for the right reason you don't have to say anything other people will say it for you. So close up your mouth a little more. Stop talking so much and do a little more.

3 Watch out who you deal with, dealing with fools can be detremental. Because there wrath or anger and weigh more and cause more damage then a heavy stone or a whole bunch of  sand.

4. Envy is Dangerous!

5. To be told what is right even if it hurts or basicly to be told the truth is better then someone keeping secrets from you. ( Truth doesn't feel good but is good for you so anyone that is scared or refuse to tell you the truth can not be trusted)

6. Wounds from friend, I take that as emotional or chastising wounds from a friend are trusted because they are doing it out of love and want you to be better, but an enemy will laugh with you and hang out with you in your wrong and never say a word.

7. Man my soul is no longer hungry it will mess over good advice but if it is always hungry it welcomes good advice everytime because it longs for it.

Coiling and Coil out

Yep so I am going to try it again.Heeheheh a little more uniformed and smaller. Oooooo I can't wait. Oh and if you don't already know how to do different style, Check out You tube That is where I get my ideas and help from when it comes to natural hair, but you can go for permed hair or what ever hair, it's a great source of information. Here are some channels I like:

Mahogany Curls  ( I think she is on someone else's channel now but here is a video from her anyway)
Pretty Dimples ( I love her channel. She is too cute and I love the styles and the make up. She has great information on products and she tries a lot of different things with her hair)
I Love my Fro ( She is great. She experiments and has great tips for styles and natural hair care)
KimmayTube ( I love love love this channel. She has so much attitude and confidence it's awesome. She breaks down the science of hair and book on our hair and how to better take care of it and she has these fashions shows and  a on line source to buy the items she uses.. I think this one is my absolute favorite)
BlackOnyx77 ( I just started watching her channel and she does some awesome things with her hair and she talks about natural products that she uses.
Holyghostcarrier ( She is cool I don't go here often but I do enjoy her channel and she loves jesus)

Yes there are millions more these are the ones I enjoy and visit often, I find new ones ever time I am on Youtube. So if you have some Good ones you like leave me a comment I will definitely go check them out. Yep more hair fun to come... I think I am going to try everything ( maybe)

Fix and Transform/ Birthday shirt

Yes I am starting to finish some projects that have been neglected for the past year. But this isn't one of them I will post those projects later. This is a Fix and transform. Some one had given me a shirt that their daughter put a hole in, it was her favorite shirt and she has had it for a long time, so I stitch the hole up( yeah that took like 10min) and the other areas where the seams were coming loose. Then I place a thermal iron on to hide the stitch.  I love fixing old clothes or finding use for things people no longer want to use, so this was right up my ally. Now she doesn't have to throw it away. Sweet!

Ok it was a hole at the elbow and a couple of the seams around the waist and arms were coming a loose

Hole is fixed and Hello Kitty has found a new home. Yea!!

So this same little girl had a birthday in July so I decided to make her a shirt for the new school year. Yep the same Thermal Iron on. They are great. Yes and she loves loves loves Hello Kitty.

I had to try it on to make sure it looks good.

Oh yeah before I forgot I had words on the shirt. Silly Janine Mirrors reverse.

Then I wrapped everything a fat quarter, she loves pink. I did stitch a hole close on her jacket too. It's inside there

Coiling my Hair Attempt one

So I was trying to figure out what to do with my hair. It had grown so much since I left the twist in for so long. So I was on You tube ( Like I am always when I need some hair advice) and wanted to find a video on coiling. Now when I had my dread I use to do it, but it was different now because no one starts me off.  I had seen on before and behold i found it again. It was a video on how to coil with out a comb. Check out Naturally Lovely curls she is the bomb and she taught me a lot. So I attempted my first coils so I can do a coil out. Ummmmmmm they turned out ok soooo the next time I will wash my hair, coil on dry hair instead of wet( my coils weren't tight enough, I hope that helps) and take my freakin time. Sigh! I hope the coil out looks good, but nevertheless I still rocked it.

And yes I did go out with this style to the graduation party. I don't think anyone could tell the difference. Well if they did they weren't going to say anything...

Very Unique Designs by Veronique!

Ok so my little homie Just graduated from the Business program here at FAMU, With her masters. AWESOME !!!! Well she also has this beautiful natural hair, I do mean a lot of hair too. So she came up with this design for her hair stylist to make happen with her hair for her graduation . I love the design and the hair stylist executed the design perfectly. Veronique, my little homie also has a blog so you can check out other hair styles she designed on her blog, The Hair Journey.

Yes this was the day before Graduation, She is looking very Cute!! I love that Dress.

Ok here is her design, Sorry I don't remember the name of the salon or stylist so if you know Veronique leave a comment so I can show her some love. Ok She had her Two strand twist one side of her hair and then put the two strand twist into pin curls.

Then she had her braid one side back and over.

Then the Pincurls were pinnd up and the braids ran right into the curls.

Lizard the Protector

I hope I don't  make anybody squirm, but I had to put this up. We were driving to Jefferson County the Sunday before last and before we left i saw this lizard on the trunk of my car. So I ignored and we rode out. So we get a little ways down the road and I notice this super lizard ( that is what I am calling him)on my side mirrors. Thinking we are going pretty fast he will fall off soon. Nah Super lizard makes a jump on to the window on is just holding on really tight. It was suggested that we roll the window down. I was like nooooooooo way then super lizard would get in the car. Ewwwww!  So as we are driving he is climbing up the passenger side window and he moves to the backseat window. I was amazed he was still holding on. So when he gets to the top of the backseat side window, he does this mission impossible move and swings to the roof. Then we stop the car soon after and he was gone. I know he was ok, because he was super Lizard, I just wanted to know where he went. It was said maybe he was protecting the car. Ummmmm who knows. Well enough of this randomness thanks for entertaining my random thoughts.

Lap Scarf

I have finally finished one of my many projects that have been left uncompleted since last year.  Ok Ok I don't think this particular one has been on the shelf that long, but I know it has been at least 5 or so months. It's a lap scarp for you lap of course. heeheh it's suppose to go over your lap when you have a  dress or skirt on in church and you are sitting in the pews and you don't want to show anything. wink wink.... Old lady ushers would put these white cloths over your lap in church. I made this one for someone at church, I hope she likes it.

My homie was very kind to model this for me after church... she didn't even know she was going to do but I did. Get it "First Lady"

hgMY hand embroidery is getting so much better. Oh yes and that fabric is super slippery, Ooooooo I forget I think it's moleskin.

GRADUATION CUPCAKES!!!!

Sooooo my homie at her bakery, Bite of your Life, has made some School spirit cupcakes for graduation. We have 2 universities and a really outstanding community college right her in Tallahassee.  Yes I do bleed orange and green, but still give love to the other schools. Congratulations Graduates....WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD, But enjoy some cupcakes on the way.
