Let's get into some Art!!!

For the last day of April 2010 I have decided to post some links of some wonderful artist that I have found and/or love to talk about, of course mostly photography but a few other tight artist check them out.

These photographers are married and I was completely blown away by there creativity and compositions. I found them through Ms. Tasha Prescott who I talk about later on. I love there work. This wonderful artist makes some of the jewelry I wear. I found her on Black girl with long hair( I would link this but I am having trouble get to their site on my mac I am not sure what's up I can get to it at home.) I loved here jewelry so much I just contacted her and the rest is art history. She does other types of Art also she is a wonderful painter. She is a great person and artist. I actually found this women on a blog, Charles media They make clay jewelery and chunky jewelery and found art that is ready to wear. I haven't ordered anything but I am about too!!!! Can't wait UKC Jewelry
As I was on the hunt looking for information on Liberia I found this fashion designer from Liberia Africa. I really like how she is puts her style together. I don't know a lot about her and have never met her or came in contact with her, but really enjoy looking at her work. House of Leevean
This photographer is the boyfriend of Ms. Rachel Stewart and an all out excellent photographer. I have not met him, but I visit his website and blog for inspiration. My friend want to me to photographer and sent me this picture of what she wanted and lo an behold it was an image form creative silence. Crazy Right!!! I was like I know exactly who that is. Last but surly not least. This is an awesome photographer. Here name Is Tasha Prescott. I found her from a FLY GIRL BLOG and then as God would have it I saw a photograph of her on Creative Silence's Facebook page and was like she look familiar and nearly freaked out because I had just went to her blog maybe only days before. She is awesome and has a book coming out called Essence of a Women, It's going to be images of all these different women and they are wonderful images she post some of them on here site and on her facebook page. Well that's all for now but these are some great artist for those I know can't wait to see ya again and for those I don't know and haven't met, I hope to meet you someday and even work with you and for those I know yep thanks for sharing and can't wait to get some more art.

Crystal on the Radio

My Friend Crystal Mitchell was just on a radio show online and it was great. Women empowerment and inspiration. I think I am going to listen to this radio show more often. It's Called Warrior Women Wine and wisdom. Crystal is writing a book and is a very talented graphic artist. I can not wait for the book to come out. Well check out the interview here. Oh the joy of Cinnamon Rolls!

yep this is how dough begins. Who would have thought it!

Yep it was really hot and I had to wait almost an hour to but the yeast in.

Dough and now we wait. I let it rise like 2 times and made the rolls the following day. I did this on Friday and baked them Saturday Night.

Wrong order but this is after I rolled the dough with the cinnamon and sugar inside

Yummy icing I kinda did use the maple flavoring I just used vanilla extract. Side note I did use almond extract too but it didn't work out.. I split the icing up and added vanilla to one and almond to the other. The almond was too strong and it tasted weird so vanilla it is.

Ok SO I MADE CINNAMON ROLLS FROM SCRATCH!!!!!!!! They turned out great and everyone loved them. Bonus!!! I changed it a little but not too much. Ok I saw the recipe on Bakeralla, but she got it from Pioneer Women.

Soooooo I like ran out of chocolate and used some milk chocolate chips I had leftover from cookies I made. Hey it worked I think. I ate them and don't even remember which puff those chips were in.

Yeah I had never worked with dough before it was not sticking and then it got sticky what the heck. Oh Well you live and you learn.

Ok Ok some of them are kinda ugly but they were good I promise

This was so good. I shared with a coworker and her daughter now I think they are going to try and make this dish.

This weekend cooked! Yea! I followed a recipe from one of my cookbooks( It's a pasta book) I love pasta. Also I did a puff pastry s more. I got the recipe from cook teen's blog. It was awesome. I might use a different chocolate next time. I think I will try her other s more recipes too. All in all I think everything came out well. Ok Ok it may not have looked pretty but it taste pretty good. Ahhhhhhhh next cinnamon rolls from bakerella's blog which she got out of pioneer women cook book.

School of the Bible

Yes I am so tripping I really have quite of few things to post but I just been slow about it. So her is a picture of me and my girls after School of the bible a.k.a Sunday School. We discussed having a mind like Christ and on step is to be faithful. We journey through the old testament and looked at Abram's story. It's in Genesis if you want to check it out. Great learning! I love it!

From my Window at Work

Marching to the capital

So yeah it seems like stuff has been going on campus( Well it' s a university I guess it is like this every week) So they have been passing by my window at work. I think the zeta's came out on Tuesday and Wednesday they had a protest and marched to the capital to protest the budget cuts at our universities in Florida. Yep they keep raising tuition and and taking more money from the schools.

So on Saturday I woke my self up and got ready to attend the game day on campus. There was a Softball game at 12:00pm a tennis match at 2:00pm and the orange and green game at 5:00pm.
The Softball team played Winston Salem. We won of course. I was too tired to go to the tennis game, I went to my grandma 's house instead and hung out with my aunt for a little while. Then I went to the orange and green game. Well needless to say I was very tired that day and then I started doing my two strand twist at about 10:00pm and didn't finish until about 2:00 that morning. I was so tired in church that day yes I did take a nap later.
